Travel down the mean streets and go uptown to the heights! Check out NYC through the perspective of US Latino/a authors from the 1960s to the present. Puerto Rican, Cuban-American, and Dominican-American writers reimagine what it means to belong in barrios of the big Apple.

This course fulfills the W2 writing requirement, the “Diversity in the US” CCC requirement, the Race/Ethnic Literature course requirement for the English major, and also counts towards the Race and Ethnicity Studies Minor program.
